Hi all. Thanks for allowing me to join this group. I recently acquired this watch and have been trying to find some more info on it. Specifically the model. I see most watches will say "sesmaster" or "geneve". this one simply says "Omega Automatic". I have been searching online and can't seem to find one similar. I was able to date it to 1966 based on the serial number. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
You left out the crucial information: the number on the inside of the caseback. With that you can search the Omega Vintage database: https://www.omegawatches.com/en-us/vintage-watches
Here is the case back. It’s 162.025. When i try the search page on the omega website nothing comes up.
There are a lot of references which are not included in the Omega online database, probably even more than are are actually included! Do a simple Google search and you will find plenty of your reference.
So it appears that this watch is a DeVille. Thanks for all the help. I am learning a lot. This watch was picked up at a thrift store along with a constellation for $6 each. I’ve found other vintage watches and I am trying to learn as much as I can about them.
Great catch - and factoring in the service is a must to get them back into regular circulation. Well done!
Thanks! I do a lot of thrift store shopping and see a lot of watches. Always keeping an eye out. Picked up a nice vintage Tudor Oyster for $20 last week.
