    Hello OF!

Thanks to the forum goers who helped me make the decision to pick up this SM300 in a separate thread. Now that it's finally arrived, was hoping to get some thoughts/feedback on a couple questions:

-What's the correct bracelet for this SM300?
-Should I do anything with the bezel? Aldo restoration, leave it as is, or maybe even getting a cheap replacement so I can keep the original and not be as paranoid when I wear this around?

    Happy to supply more photos!

My thoughts are that it looks pretty good. Case looks sharp. If the bezel is original I'd keep it as is and maybe try to source an aftermarket one to preserve it.

    Nice watch. Congrats.
Honestly I don't know that I'd touch the bezel. Remember, it is only original once...
It looks original and coherent with the overall condition of the watch.
IMO a shiny newly restored bezel wouldn't look right on this watch.

The correct bracelet will be a 7912 with #6 end links.
I don't know how much you paid for it, but this bracelet/end link combo could potentially cost you more than the actual watch itself...

Looks great, I'd be happy to wear that watch as it is.

That is one gorgeous watch you have! For myself I like the “big triangle” slightly more. But that’s taste ofcourse. And you cannot discuss taste :)

Ow and if I were you I only would be sure the movement works fine. The watch is how it is. It has a history why it looks like this. Maybe a gorgeous history.

A beautiful and honest watch. I wouldn't change anything.

Thanks everyone! I guess I'll leave it as is. Separately, I didn't realize pricing for the 7912 bracelets was $3-4k...

I would keep it as it is, looks lovely! I have mine on a 1067 which looks nice with flat and folded links, don't think it's the correct bracelet though. That said, I believe it's not as pricey as a 7912.

Can always fall back to a nice green NATO if I get tired of the current strap
