Hi there, I'm looking to sell a 2913 Seamaster 300, but have no idea of the value. Looking around online the prices vary from £7k - £22k, but that doesn't mean they are actually selling.

This was owned by a friends step father from new, other than that, I don't have any more info on the history of the watch.

It appears to be all original, including the bracelet, except for the hands which look to have been replaced at some point.

The bracelet looks to be in very good condtion, exceopt for one slightly bent link near the end link, which I'm not going to attempt to straighten.

The watch keeps good time and runs very smothly, so would assume it was serviced along with the hand change. I would imagine this was decades ago as there is some wear on the replacement hands.

I cannot telll if it's been polished previously as I'm not familiar with how shape the midcase would have been originally or how often the watch was worn. It has not been worn for a few decades though.

The insert on the bezel is peeling off.

It also has the original box and the original paperwork.

Any info on value would be fantastic, and as mentioned it is for sale if anyone is interested.

I’m no expert on these but that’s a lovely looking watch. The hands may have simply been relumed rather than replaced.

These days the price range is lower.

Too bad about the bezel. Bracelet looks nice.

Bracelet, ends links, crown, and box are not original to the watch.
Hour hand is correct broad arrow, minute hand is later (14755). Both are relumed.
This watch is in fair condition.

Can we see a different pic of the hands / dial? Minute hand is from a later model? Hard to tell from the glare.

Hi all,

Sorry was unaware of the rules regarding sales on here. However at this stage it's more about understanding the value and how original it is as I don't want to mislead buyers.

I've tried to take some better photos of the dial, difficult with the glare and my phone seems to focus on the crystal scratches. The dial looks in fantastic shape to me, even with the scratched crystal.

In regards to the bracelet. It has 516 stamped on the end links. It says '72' on the clasp, would this be year of manufacture of the bracelet?

The best way to determine valuation is to look at recent sales of similar watches on eBay. Don't look at the listings, but at the actual watches that have sold and their prices.

516 endlinks are 20mm and a 2913 case takes 19mm ends, so these have been filed down to fit.

Yes, the 72 will be year code.

I thought this watch looked super familiar, then realized I am wearing a modern reincarnation on my wrist... Feeling super sharp today.
