Vintage 1960s Vintage Rotary Aquaplunge Skin Diver / "666" Devil Diver

Today I am listing something a little different, one of my Rotary Aquaplunges. I've loved these models and owned half a dozen. I currently have two, and have decided to let this one go to a new owner.



Dial: As you can see for a watch that is 60+ years old, this dial is in very good shape, but please observe the pictures closely. This model is famous for its sporty aesthetic that is reminiscent of some other very expensive alternatives by the likes of Longines and such from this period. The dial is black and glossy and the combination of white numerals and creamy lume make a lovely presentation. Hands appear to be original too, with lume in tact.

Case: The stainless steel case is in very good condition. All chamfers are very sharp, whilst it does have the odd knock here and there, it appears unpolished. The bezel has some wear which is commonplace on divers from this era, particularly at 3 o'clock, likely the user winding the crown - so it has certainly been well loved in it's 60 years. I find it absolutely charming, it is a used and loved timepiece, but in remarkable condition. It measure approximately 36mm in diameter without crown and the crown appears to be original.

Movement: Original Rotary movement is running well. I've owned this watch for around 4 years and it has been running strong, although I've not had it serviced. I recommend that the buyer has the watch serviced, although this is of course up to your discretion.

Strap: This case fits 18mm wide straps and will be supplied on the black rubber tropic style strap pictured.

Box/papers: Box but no papers.
