I spotted this vintage watch for sale near me. I’m new to the vintage watch world and I’m wondering if this watch has issues that make it not worth purchasing?
For starters it’s missing a second hand. To me the movement looks correct, but I’m not sure about the dial and the case?
The price seems right but I don’t want to purchase a vintage Frankenstein time piece. Has anyone seen a back cover like this on a 52 Seamaster?

Non Omega case.

Bad redial.

Run away.

As Paul Hollywood would say, "that looks a right mess". 😲

Thanks... even my untrained eye realized it wasn’t quite right.
Welcome to the minefield of vintage. Part of the fun is research and then conquest- so dig in, learn, and have fun!
