Hi all! 😀

Had picked this up at a local sale but have decided not to keep it as I am moving most of my collection towards more modern pieces with just a smattering of interesting vintage like chronographs. Was about to simply ebay when I decided to try a post here, despite being a lowly Helbros three-hander.

The watch: Helbros Self-Winding 34mm gold plated, Germany dial marked and 7 Jewel 'Made in Germany' 'Helbros' stamped movement. Am not certain which group they sourced these from for German pieces; I do know PUW movements were used but have not personally seen a 7 jewel from them before. A new nice-but-generic leather strap has been placed on the watch. The dark brown color compliments it well although the lugs look to be a less common 17mm so the 16mm strap does leave some room. Not noticeable when worn IMO, but full disclosure.

The dial is the sweet spot on this one and why I picked it up: although the crystal is badly crazed as seen in the photos, the dial beneath it looks lovely, with a perfectly even-tone of very light patina on the face, making the original white dial a uniform cream color. What looks to be correct, greenish radium lume appears intact and original on both dial and hands - yes, it still glows faintly in the dark.

Runs perfectly during short timings alongside my Omega SMP - no timeographer right now. This has been static testing only and not when worn, simply wound and placed alongside each other. As always, YMMV.

No idea on service history, however the movement itself is very clean and may just need a light cleaning and oiling, if anything. As always for a vintage piece, service is recommended prior to regular wear. The gold plate has started to wear in spots. Would make just a nice little 'retro' daily wear piece w/new crystal that you don't need to worry about.

I know this is not typical of what we normally see here on OF, but this would be a first sale for me through this platform and wanted to start with something small and reasonable that also fit the niches many of us enjoy: mechanical, a formerly well-known brand, overall decent shape for the age, and most all simply enjoyable. Since the crystal definitely needs to be replaced and considering possible service fees, have priced what I hope is accordingly and in the goodwill of the community to begin establishing myself for any future dealings here. I do have all positive feedback and the 'bay, reddit watchexchange, and WUS.

Asking the princely sum of $65 USD shipped CONUS. Will also trade, almost certainly up, if anyone wants a fun and inexpensive piece to fiddle around with.

No harm no foul if no interest, just trying to establish a few bona fides as a seller with some small pieces here and there before anything more uncommon or notable comes along.

Thanks for looking all!

Let's try a le bump; throw me any old offer; would rather this go to someone who'll appreciate it, minor piece though it may be.
