Is this the recent one on eBay from Alex's store? I was watching it because I was curious what price it would go for. The dial is fantastic!!

Is that a blued seconds hand? If so then a very thin very dark blue lizard can look good.
I was actually looking at your instagram for inspiration as you always have good straps 😜 Yes it is a blued seconds hand - dark blue lizard could be a good idea!

If you want to go with a strap similar to the originals (which are very hard to find) here is a choice of NOS original straps which I found on NOS 30 Rg gold chronometres.

Some other references from that era may share the same straps - so you should hunt for a cheaper watch with one of these correct straps as a donor for your grail. Will be a long and expensive route though... good luck!

That's amazing thank you Erich! I think Torestrap could make one quite similar. Are they box stitched at the top near the lug end?

nope - see attached photo

Wonderful!

Out of interest did the steel ones also come with the same straps and colours (albeit steel buckles)? Or have you yet to see a NOS one of those?

Yes I was a little disappointed he described it as unpolished when clearly it is… and it isn’t keeping accurate time at all (and this wasn’t described) but otherwise it got to me safe and sound and in good time.

I have not seen a NOS steel example of 30 Rg chronometres yet, so I don´t know if they shared the same type of straps, the buckle style is the same but buckles are in steel of course. there may be an exception with buckles on very early CK 2254 chromometres (version 1 and 2).
I guess you have my book, so have a look, all in there...

Thank you. This is the one I had in mind...it is dark blue and both very flat and very soft...and of course from Torre Straps

Hope you can find one like this.

Regards.

Hoi.

Too thick for a ref. 2365
This strap is meant for a Conny or SM
and the buckle is far too young for a 2365

I have an old Omega ad with a 30t2Rg Scientific dial with that strap on it. Do you want to have a look?

I would consider chocolate pigskin from Torre
Here’s a photo from gold watch not great it’s a screen shot, and the middle one on other photo is from a recent order of mine has box stitching and rounded end period correct. And you can get 17 mm. And pigskin is period correct too.

Just looking at the group strap shot makes me want to order more and more from him!

I start with one strap for one watch and end up with 5. But I never regret it.
