1946 LeCoultre Bumper Automatic - €600

I am hereby offering my LeCoultre Automatic from 1946 for sale.



I've had this watch for two years and always said to myself that I'd never sell it, but there we go 🤔


The overall condition of the watch is pretty much as good as you could wish for. The dial has aged very well and the two-tone champagne colour is even and clean. The radium on the numerals have turned a dark tone while the radium in the blued hands have turned a warmer shade of brown.





The 33.5mm case is in good condition with only slight marks on the caseback from a nylon strap (wasn't me - honest!) and some slight scratches. The sides retain the light brushed finish and all edges are sharp. The lug width is 16mm.





The crystal has the correct profile for the watch and no cracks, only slight scratches.





The movement is one of the earliest JLC automatics, the cal. 476/2 and presents rather splendidly. Note that since this is a LeCoultre and not a Jaeger-Lecoultre, there are som cosmetic differences. The finish is in steel with Côtes de Genève. There are signs of previous servicing, but recent service history is unknown and the watch should be treated as such. I have noticed absolutely no signs of any mechanical issues.





I am asking $700/€600 for this via bank transfer, PayPal can also be arranged. Shipping is possible to everywhere at cost. I will be happy to take returns for any reason within a week of delivery, return shipping on buyer's cost. Watch is located in Denmark, EU.
