Thank you all for the info! So just so I have this straight a soldier purchased this while overseas and brought it back? Or they ordered it in the US?
Why is a soldier involved? Is that part of the backstory?

I guess UOW import code means it was likely purchased in the USA, although I'm not sure there is any way to know for sure aside from the original receipt?

Probably yes but I don't think you can conclude with 100% certainty that a watch with US import code was indeed imported in the USA

Im getting this watch back from servicing soon and was informed that the chrinograph hand doesnt reset back to 12 exactly it's a bit off. The hand is a bit loose on the post probably from wear over the years. Is this a problem? I dont plan on using the chrono function, thoughts?

Not an uncommon problem. Probably a crack in the tube. I’d recommend having it fixed

I cannot fathom that this info is coming from your watchmaker without a solution proposed.

What would be the best solution to this problem other than replacing the hand? The tube has enlarged over time and isn't a tight fit anymore thus not resetting back exactly. I dont want to replace the hand all together

Normally they crimp the tube if possible, or if it’s cracked, replace the tube, but keep the hand.

Oh okay crimping the tube was actually what they suggested but I decided against it because of possible damage? Replacing the tube wasn't an option as it is very long and they couldn't find one like it.

Here's the final watch! It looks amazing. The only thing that isn't 100% is the top pusher. We got as much of the rust and corrosion off through just cleaning it.
