1940s omega identification and value

Hi,

I wondered if anyone had anything similar to this? It was listed as 1940s. Obviously the dial is toasted but I loved the case shape and have dreams of putting it on a tan strap. I'm told the movement works well and from the pics it looks clean.

My questions are:
What's the model called?
What's it's value in this condition?

Thanks so much.

I am afraid this is not a watch which left the Omega factory this way...
The case seems to be from casemaker Handley, not Omega - maybe locally cased in Australia...
So IMO it is not worth a purchase given the condition of the dial

I always prefer to avoid circular movements in rectangular watches but this is my personal preference

Ah, I did fear that. But I still love the shape. I am going to get it on a nice strap and see how I feel. Any legit similar style recs most welcome!

There are definitely watches like that, e.g. these Schmitt Freres clamshell cases. Not exactly the same, but similar.

I managed to buy a clamshell eterna like the one above to itch the itch! Thanks again.
