If that is a redial it’s a piece of art.
Yeah if it is a redial I would like to know the redialer 😉

Look at the red 40 around 9 o’clock.....

Also compare the 4 'o clock and 8 'o clock applied copper markers.

I don't see either of these things as a problem.
....and look at the “fold” along the dial rim just inside of the outer red numbers

Is that actually a "fold" or is it the tone of the dial?

This one screams redial to me.

I am not very knowledgeable about these, but there is something I just can't put my finger on and I trust my instinct.

One interesting point is that I cannot find a single 33.3 with the dimple dial like this one which also has several scales in various colours across the dial; they all have a much simpler layout. Then again, with the multitude of different dials available for these, I wouldn't be surprised to see one 😀

I also think it's probably a redial. It's been near-faultlessly executed and some of the "problems" appear on original dials, but it has what appear to be underlying stains, the white has a "dead" look and - which for me is the main giveaway - there is an accent on Telemetre but none on Tachymetre. As a redial it's of stunning quality, even by chrono standards which tend to be higher than on 3-handers. If the varnishing had been that bit more skilful and they'd got the accent right, I doubt anyone would ever know.

There was one or two 33.3s sold recently with stunning black dials which was revealed to be redialed. There has to be some outstanding cliches for these around...

Maybe if the redialer didn’t put 4 or 5 of these into circulation in the last year they wouldn’t have been caught. Many well known dealers fell for it.

My first thought was what a superbly-preserved Omega dial this is, with no wonky script or numbers and the 5s all identical, which I always think is a good sign. Then I noticed a stain in the shape of a tugboat between and above the 5 and 7 hour markers, and another stain as a line from the 11 to 10 markers. I'm never happy when I can see stains under what purports to be original finish. But if that's a redial, it's amazingly good. So I'm not sure what to think.

The stain you are referring to could well just be the reflection of the camera in the crystal… It happens to me all the time!

The seller (dealer) is at crownsandchronos.com

The watch is currently on ebay with a price of $33800! Crazy?

It is listed on their website under the "ebay" tab.

If anyone contacts the seller please share your findings with us!

If a dealer list a watch like this on ebay then something is fishy in my opinion.

I bought my Constellation from this very seller and had no problems. Based on my experience he is trustworthy.

However this kind of watch is at a different level altogether

As I recall in my OF journey, greasy stains like this can occur as the result of overzealous lubrication during service. I’m not sure the stains have any bearing on whether or not its a redial. Medico dials are often odd ducks ... This one is very very good if its a re-dial. Nothing seems particularly out of proportion.

good one. and easy to compare with the OP pics here. The thickness of the fine strokes in the printing tells the story. kind regards. achim

Is the consensus then that the dial of the OPs (that's me) pics is a very good redial?
