Trying to figure out what case would have gone with this movement. So far I've found a couple of potentials from that year. Not having any luck finding an actual case to buy for it either, was hoping to restore it but it might just become a frankenwatch.

Hi mate.

Oof, figuring out where this came from is an impossible task... Many references used that movement. The dial has been repainted at some point, so no help here 馃檨

Hi Kevin and welcome to the forum!
The OXG stamped on the movement is the U.S. import code for the Norman Morris company. It very well was imported just as a movement and cased in the U.S. and could have been most anything.
While attractive, it is of little monetary value and I would use it for parts unless you have a strong attachment to the watch.
Restoring is impossible but you may find a donor watch with a bad dial or movement to build your "franken". The best way to be sure it will fit is to find a case already housing this movement.
Good luck!

Thats pretty much what I thought. I thought the dial had been repainted which is fine. I'm starting to learn to repair movements so I got this for next to nothing, primarily bought it for parts. It will be a fun little project either way and will hopefully end up being a pretty nice looking watch when I'm done with it. Thanks for the info.
