Hi all,

Picked this omega up for $50 aud today. I have checked the serial number and it dates to 1935.
Can anyone tell me if the hands, crown etc are genuine and any info you may know?

$50, that's a good deal. It looks good from the photos you've shown. The movement looks clean, and I can see it's running. The crown looks appropriate for the time period but I'm not no expert on 30s crowns. The case shows heavy brassing. The dial looks mostly okay from the photo. There's a spot that looks like the minute track may have been touched up between the 5 and 7. The hands look like they are original to me. It would be good if you could provide a photo of the dial and hands out of the case.

With it out if the case the dial looks good to me. Like the rest of the watch it has developed a good bit of patina, but the minute track, the sub seconds bit, and the script all look good to me.

I appreciate the response.
It’s a small watch so today it can be worn by the ladies but was this a mens model?

I'm not exactly sure how large it is, but I'd say so. I own several watches of this vintage and they are all men's watches and all on the smallish size. I actually prefer watches that are 35mm and under in size. I find they fit under shirt cuffs very unobtrusively and tend to look a little more classy on the wrist than some 40mm+ watch.

Generally, in that first era of wristwatches, if you see a seconds subdial at 6, it was a man's watch. Exceptions of course.
