Hi all, I bought this really nice condition omega 18ct solid gold watch a while back and took these limited photos of the hallmarks in the shop. Doing some research has thrown up nothing on where it originated. Someone suggested the case might be Argentinean . Any more information would be very helpful. Many thanks .

My guess is .... with photos where you can actually see the hallmark, someone may be able to help.

Those don't look like normal Omega factory gold marks, could be a local case. Of course the terrible photo and omission of a dial shot rather prevent any meaningful conclusions.

Dial shot now. Someone suggested the movements were sent to South America and cased there.

Yes some were. Some were also sent to other countries ( U.S., France England, etc.)as "movement only" and cased locally to avoid the import tariffs on precious metals.

Post a proper in focus shot showing the hallmarks and if present any marks on the watch case too and I am sure we can help. A shot of the buckle may also be useful if it is an Omega original. You have to give people a little to work with!

ps based on what I see I don’t think it is a UK made case, ie not Dennison or Shackman, but it looks pretty substantial ie expensive.
