1680 red submariner

Hey everyone,

I was just wondering if i could ask your opinions on this red sub which is available on eBay AU, which I may bid on, but my guess it will skyrocket out of reach in the last minutes of the auction.

Looking at the DRSD website it looks to be a Mark V dial, and that's about all i can gather from my limited knowledge. I have asked the seller to see if he can provide photos of the SN or the Reference number but nothing as of yet.

Do you think it is a good example?, What about the bezel? I have compared it to other examples but have a hard time telling if it is period or later replacement.

Id recommend better pictures.

It’s a moot point as the auction ended, but no way would I feel comfortable bidding based only on those pictures .

I need one of those...

For future reference, this sold for 12,300 aud - which seems under market value, however i couldn't get any clearer photo's from the seller and they weren't very responsive. I asked to view in person but couldn't sort any thing out, so it could have been a risky purchase if not correct.
