Looking to buy a 168 series omega. I love the case as it reminds me of vintage oyster cases without the high price. I am looking to pickup one as a graduation gift to myself. I would like one with a clean dial and a bracelet. I have come across this very clean 168.0061 with the original box and bracelet. The price is 1300 usd.
The only down side here is the movement (1011) as I have heard it is not as desirable as the 564 series. The bracelet is quite unique which is interesting probably will get an after market BOR bracelet down the line if I end up picking up this watch. What is everyone鈥檚 thoughts for the price is it good compared to what I see on chrono24 it seems reasonable if not well priced.

I think finding one in such condition might be difficult. For the price should I get this or try hold out for a 168.024 with 564 movement or will that be too difficult for this price.

Also what are the differences amongst models as far as I know there are 2 168s with 5xx series movement one chronometer certified and one not and then 2 10xx movements chronometer and not.

your advice is always appreciated! 馃榾

The case and hand design make these a bit less popular then the 168024. But I sold a couple of these for app eur 1000-1200. But you can easily find a 168.024 for less in Japan with a bit of patience.

Good question regarding case difference. Maybe someone still have the two of them. But from memory I thought there was a difference. The second example is quite polished though...

Looks like a decent 166.010! 馃憤 Any movement and caseback shots?

Does it come with a service? Otherwise count in a service.

Yes it was recently serviced I will send you the movement. Would this be a better option? It鈥檚 outside the eu so customs shipping will bring it up to just over 900.

Just to point out, the buckle is fake and I believe the amplitude of 221 is low for a freshly serviced watch.

Yea the buckle was thrown in with the strap so I assumed it to be fake. I can mention the amplitude to him what should it be ?

I believe the timegrapher is set incorrectly. Isn't the lift angle 49 degrees on the 56x movement? If so, then the amplitude is even lower. It doesn't necessarily mean that the watch wasn't serviced, but maybe it wasn't a very good or thorough service.

Not perfect (they never are), but FWIW as a bumper fan, I like that watch.
