Whilst randomly searching vintage watches on Chrono 24 I found this unusual dial from the Japanese seller Closer.

I’ve never seen one with a star in the 10 position before, I assume this is a Japanese special?

Looks custom to me as in: redone anyway

The photo you posted is definitely a refinished dial (not Omega original), you can see the indices don’t line up with the minute markers. Is the other dial you found just the same watch, but listed by a different dealer? This is quite common in Japan.

If not, maybe the star at 10 has some symbolic meaning in Japan so multiple customers requested the dial be refinished as such.
