Hello,

I've been going through some watches I'm going to sell and I rediscovered a beautiful Seamaster 300 165.024-64 that I purchased from a UDT diver who recovered an Apollo spacecraft, as well as doing multiple tours in Vietnam.

I bought this without a band and I'm wondering what the correct band is for this watch. I also have a question about 2 missing letters at the bottom of the dial. The watch is too clean for this sailor to ha e used it in VN, but he told me he wore it while recovering the Apollo spacecraft.

If you send me a message I'm happy to send pics.

Thanks for any help.

Unfortunately, this isn’t an authentic case. There are some well known fake 165.024-64 cases that were produced in Vietnam and this looks to be one of them.

The dial is a little trickier. It seems like it might be a factory service dial with some edge damage that resulted in some missing text. The hands also seem to be modern service hands.
