Hi Folks,
I recently picked up this 165.014. I’ve been told it’s a 1963 straight handed transitional model and likely tritium lume. Can someone help confirm that everything looks good and if they know if this would be radium model or tritium?

It is tritium for sure. The dial is from previous reference.
Thank you for responding 😀 I have been here a long time however now need some help. Do you beleive the dial would also be tritium aswell then? When I have new looking at pictures of other radium watches it looks like radium. Does this mean that it has been frankened together? I ask this as I was told it was a rare 1963 straight hand transitional model

Shine UV light on it in dark.
Radium will light up and fade almost immediately.
Tritium will light up and fade more slowly, over 30-40 seconds.
Also a Geiger counter will detect radium rather easily.

What makes you say it’s tritium? I’d expect that dial to be radium.

I’ve been reading up and I am 100% sure it’s radium. The lume is grit like in the dagger plots and it tests 4 times more radioactive then background radiaton.
