1498 bracelet on a vintage 145.022?

Hi there, I'm thinking about a bracelet for my Speedmaster 69st. Have had an 1171 in the past, but am attracted to the larger oyster-style links of the 1498 bracelet.

Does anyone wear the 1498 on older speedmasters or is it considered sacrilege? Will it even fit?

Here is the watch currently on a Bulang strap.
