The early bird gets the worm again! My gut instincts have by far been more rewarding than over analyzing a watch to death! Sometimes it’s a fine balancing act, but that’s how I got my first Ed White 18 years ago. Back then most people/dealers didn’t differentiate one Speedmaster from another. It’s a whole new world now!
May I ask, what sort of “local group” are we talking about? I’ve never seen a watch for sale on Facebook.

Nice find! I have a 220 bezel as well. I notice some similarities between our watches, including very faint (almost not present at all) concentric circles on the subdials.
Oddly, mine also had the drop end style Chrono hand when I purchased it, like yours. I had it swapped during its first service.
