Interesting.

I wear an Ed White most days these days. Not sure I’d own them if I didn’t wear them. I’ve worn this one almost every day for the past week.

Well if I had two EWs, I wouldn’t hesitate to wear one everyday either😉

Great new addition.

I wear mine often but don’t work in a high risk environment.

I’d probably not wear it in anything rough.

I’ve got some 70s mil watches for that.

Unless this is a keeper, if you ding the lugs or bezel, you'll have spent a lot of money. If money is no object, any watch is a daily beater..

Just wear it everyday

Maybe fit an other bracelet so the original bracelet with stretched links stay in Good condition ? The bracelets in Good condition become rare and expensive ..

I like the bracelet, but as you say it is a bit fragile for everyday wear... Luckily there a so many straps and so many different looks to the watch, just by changing the strap

This is my “68. It has a deliberate mistake with the dial which the eagle eyed will spot (or may have seen me post about previously) but I wanted to show how good a 145.012 can look on a modern bracelet:

Would it make sense to find a 1171 bracelet and use it as the "daily-bracelet" 😀 ?

The watch above came to me on a rather stretched 1171/1. It’s not the nicest or highest quality bracelet IMO. Maybe a brand new one may feel OK but older used ones feel quite flimsy and rattley. They are about £300 from a boutique so are readily available new, don’t be fooled into paying an eBay (or sales sub forum) inflated price for one. The earliest 1970s ones are better quality with screws instead of pins, but sellers want a big premium for those and many are knackered.

I make asphalt for a living and wear either my 145.022-71 or my 16570 Exp2. If it's good enough to buy, it's good enough to wear!

Padders,

What’s the make on that bracelet? It rocks!

Well if this isn’t enough of a reason to make any watch your “daily wear”, I don’t know what is.

Great watches and awesome to see them actually being worn and used as intended.

It’s a Staib mesh with diver extension deployant clasp. It’s a high quality German made piece. They do a few variations I believe inc deployant and butterfly clasps. Their website isn’t great but there are local distributors in many markets inc the USA.

I work at a plant where we make hot mix for paving. Although, we use recycled roofing shingles in certain mix formulas.

Thanks ! I Will just keep wearing it 😀
I would avoid getting it wet though. Vintage watches are not generally water-proof (unless serviced and tested to be so).

I usually avoid rain, just let one malicious drop come blown in from the side, creep through the stem tube and unleash it's destructive power.😀 Otherwise, 8 out of 10 days this one!
