I always enjoy reading these threads, so decided to start one on a watch I was seriously looking at. Would love opinions and best guess what would go for. This is a 105.012-65, Interestingly to me beside the 65' ref- this appears to be a true "moon spec" watch with the correct dial and thin HF case- https://www.chronoholic.com/post/a-...dmaster-professional-105-012-65-the-moonwatch. Pushers and crown appear original, handset missing a bit of lume, dial overall pleasing color with some minor lume loss. DON bezel in good not perfect condition. Bracelet is obviously later era, and caseback unfortunately has name inscribed. 321 appears pretty good in my judgement. No abstract, I will let others comment on case as I honestly am really working on this part of my judgement game. Overall, I would put this in the "good" category.
Respect a lot of knowledge on this board, so interested to hear opinions.

Serial is approx 1500 before the famous Armstrong watch- so timeframe appropriate, probably mfg in May or early June 1966.

Auction sites never disappoint with the photos they send... Is that the original quality??

Wow, the auction photos in the first post - the quality is terrible.

Overall looks decent, case looks sharp as well
But very limited evaluation due to the photos...

Agreed, the first batch I was sent were even worse, these are the ones I got after asking for better higher resolution pics.

Is it the Cronin jr from REO Speedwagon ?
With picture quality like these i assume the auction house has something to hide, or there are simply no possitives to show, i cant even see if the bezel is original as the seriff is not clear.
So your price calculation should be based on worst outcome.

Nice to read about a Speedy Auction!
👍👍👍

This one is not so easy to assess…but it is a 65!
And the parts looks correct.
The pictures are really bad, and we always wonder why auction houses do not know how to take decent pictures?
But with the pictures:

Dial - it is black…but not possible to know the condition
Lume - looks promising, some minor lume loss and discoloration
Bezel - scratches, dents and it has a faded/bleached tone
Case - looks promising, but there could be dings and dents?
Impossible to see if the edged are sharp and if the brushing is still visible
The left side is not pictured
Caseback - opening marks, and the engraving…but nice bevels.
Hands - in a really bad condition
The movement looks clean, but very hard to see if there are scratches or some damage...
Correct pushers and crown!

If the dial is clean, the watch would be very pleasing to own!

It sold for 7700 $ / 6600 € including the premium.
That places the watch a bit above Good…

Maybe the buyer had the watch in hand, and could assess the quality?
