Hi folks. I dont know a whole lot about Zenith’s though i generally do like things with a bit of history. Recently aquired this watch after selling my much loved Omega HS8 and would like to know more about it. Researching the date on the back hasnt resulted in much though there is lots of info out there on the Battle of Arras. It looks quite similar to a WW1 signal corps watch. I know the RFC was the early incarnation of the RAF. Is this a presentation watch to a serviceman or probably something the original owner of the watch had inscribed as a momento? Thanks for your thoughts.

The hallmarks on the dial would help to confirm the date, but apart from a .925 sterling silver mark, I can't quite make them out.

You might want to contact a curator at the RAF Museum in Hendon. They recently revised their WWI display, so may have seen similar objects, or know the significance of the date (possibly a presentation ceremony, as the Battle of Arras had already ended).
