Jones in LA
··Not in LA anymore.Might as well get my two bits in.
I've always thought that the non-LE version of this watch is one of the most attractive of Omega's contemporary offerings. If I didn't already have so many diving watches, I'd buy one of these in a heartbeat, and I'd put it on my wrist while SCUBA diving.
But then I read this, in write-ups about the Spectre LE "The watch features a bi-directional, rotating diving bezel..."
As a SCUBA diver, I can tell you that a "bi-directional, rotating diving bezel" is pure oxymoron. A bi-directional bezel on a diving watch is not only worthless, it's dangerous. And the the 0-11 numbering on the LE's bezel....what is that for??? I don't get it at all.
I'm appalled that a distinguished Royal Navy veteran like Commander Bond would wear such a silly watch.
