The moon was beautiful last night, so I had to go with this today:

Those are tritium tubes on the moon; a nice yellow glow in the night

Today, two watches. The Certina from a day or two ago, and this one. Calibre 1020, early to mid 1970s. Once in a while, a watch finds its way to you without your having to look for it. This was a lucky find.

Not only it's beautiful, it's a 5512 and most importantly it's my birth year watch. It's the Dream Trifecta of a collector

    :):)
Fair question. The watch has been inspected by rolex experts and an insurance that gave me the appraisal certification. Too important a buy for me not to get it right. As per them:

Dial, hands, case and movement all original and untouched.

    Bracelet not Original.

Bezel they can't tell. It is the right bezel for the 4 line non gilt 5512 but it may be a replacement from circa 75 to 77. That said it may also be Original to the watch as its a 1971, so undetermined. Even of replaced by an accurate bezel I decided I was ok with it as it's a birth year watch and I have a disc replacement of my own in my back.
