Wow, so you saw him wearing it in a 'room full of Speedmasters'.. He really stood out!

 

I, personally, could never wear that much gold on my wrist; I like it on leather... but if I HAD to....

 

I'm glad I ran upon this post, thanks sumerian; now I can go to bed dreaming of golden, stepped, pie-pans!

Here´s a few more pictures, it´s an amazing watch and I love it and wear it regularly. As I mentioned in a different thread the flat link bracelet came some time later with a lovely De Luxe 2954.

 

TBH ANY of the stepped dial pie pans would do for me!! But I think I have to agree I prefer the symmetry of no date....or date at 6
