路Dear all,
Up for sale is a Zodiac Sea Wolf that you don't see everyday. As some of you know, Zodiac released the Sea Wolf in various guises during it's lifetime though I have always been most fascinated by the ones with the bakelite bezels, and within those, ones with the striking orange accents on the dial, hands and bezel. I mean just look at it - how can this watch not make you smile when you see the time. Perhaps the perfect summer piece? But I digress.
If you know or have been looking for this watch, you will also know just how challenging it is to find one in this condition. The bright colors fade easily. The bakelite bezels are delicate and are prone to cracking and fading. This one took me over a year to track down but a consolidation of my collection is sadly forcing my hand to list it. On a complete side note, I looked through the OF archives and this is the first ever silver/orange Sea Wolf that has ever been listed on here馃榾
More details:
Ref: 1781W
Year: 1960s
Size: 35.5mm w/o crown
Movement: Automatic cal 72B, service history unknown, all functions work as expected
Bracelet: Zodiac bracelet as seen in the pictures, will fit up to 7.2" wrist
I鈥檓 asking $1600 USD net (reduced from $1750) which will also include insured shipping within CONUS. Other countries at cost. Paypal, Transferwise or bank wire only. Watch and I are in the US and I can ship worldwide (with some exceptions).
Plenty of references available upon request. Thanks!
