·^Yup. Links are folded in on the back- the last links are usually the same size (slide into the clasp) and are meant to be the additional-sacrificial ones.
Short of pulling apart a perfectly good bracelet, perhaps you can find another member who has one that’s too short for them and swap- provided it’s in equal condition.
Oh, and there were two types of these- the open rivets and the finished end caps like you have- so if you did swap you would want to make sure it’s the type you want.
