Hello everybody, I own a zenith cal 135 and would like some information about the watch. Is it correct that the dial and hands are rose gold and the case is steel?
Thank you very much!

Looks legit to me, We have a large group of 3-4 guys looking at it, and we all think it is legit. rose gold furniture with that dial in a SS case is legit.

Serial of the watch dates it to around 1957. I would say that, for a watch of this caliber(pun intended), requesting an extract from Zenith, detailing the original dial and case layout, would be well worth the price.

Thank you all for your replies. The reason I ask is because I am selling this watch at chrono24 and a buyer has doubts about the dial with pink elements in this SS case.
Thank you very much and I appreciate it!

Definitely an uncommon variation, but this appears to be another example:

I will add that the serial and case back numbers do line up for the period. As @Mephisto suggested, for €75, get an extract. Sometimes they will be able to tell you more than just dates etc.

Very rare first series early Cal. 135, 35mm Stainless Steel
One of the earliest ZENITH Chronometer, Cal. 135, SN: 3869940, Case No: 8884007, 35mm stainless steel, made circa 1949, aka “first series”. Powered by by manual winding gold-plated 13’’’/30mm Zenith movement Cal. 135 with “Cotes de Genève” finish and a bimetallic, split, screwed balance. Very good unpolished condition, everything original, gorgeous patinated dial, clean and practically untouched movement. The crown is unsigned, but most likely original. Accompanied by its original Zenith book-style box.

Case: 35 mm, stainless steel, three body, brushed and polished, with snap-on bezel and back, No. 8884007 Dial: brushed silver, with outer minute track, applied white gold dart and Arabic markers, and guilloche sub seconds dial; silver dauphine hour/minute hands, and baton seconds hand; Movement: Zenith caliber 135 manual wind, 19 jewels, Swiss lever, chronometer certified, with bimetallic, split, screwed balance and shock protection, micrometric regulator, and gold plated “Cotes de Genève” finish, No. 3869940.

This one was sold in Switzerland last year for CHF 7000 !

applied white gold dart and Arabic markers
My eyes could be deceiving me, but those markers look neither white gold nor applied. They look to be embossed, and the dial is likely made of brass. It is always good to take these descriptions with a grain of salt. Nice watch, though, if not entirely comparable to the later example posted by the OP.

I also have a Zenith cal 135 of the first generation, only 50 numbers later case than this watch from your entry but in mine the crown is logoed, indexes and hands applied chrome

Another one of these with the unusual case-back showed up in an auction that ended this morning. I did not win it, unfortunately. Anyone here?
