I'd say you did VERY well at the price. It was listed with middling to poor pictures that did the watch no favors, and with the second hand loose in the case as you mention. You had the courage to propose a very good price (for you) to the seller, who was clueless enough to take it - well played! The watch looks all authentic and never polished, a perfectly correct very early example of the A 386.
Now, I'd suggest you get it serviced as it obviously was not well cared for by prior owner - but be sure the watchmaker does not dare polish it.
