Dear all!

May I ask the zenith experts a question about my watch and the recently bought endlinks...
They do not fit together...the endlinks looks original for me and also the case of the watch...but I am more skilled in omega speedmaster watches.. so please tell me your wisdom .....

Thanks in advance...

Lovely El Primero, I'm not an expert but those end links look like they're from a very different watch;
you could try filing the curve flat to fit, but lug end and spring bar alignment might be an issue.

Hi

The ZKM ends and watch look okay to me. But the end links don't sit straight in, more so on an angle. The angle of the end links ends up somewhat matching the beveled angle of the case. I've just taken a really quick picture to hopefully show you what I mean.

So maybe try to fit it on an angle and see what it looks like. It will make sense once it's mounted with the ladder bracelet

Hope this helps

Thank you for your answer and the informative pictures. On your watch there is a narrow gap between the endlink and the case, my end links are exactly the same width as the distance between the case lugs! I'm afraid something is wrong here...

OP’s end links looks repro / fake to me, definitely wrong shape for the case as they do not align at the top of the case at all. Shouldn’t ZKM be almost straight at the top and these are rounded. But i’m no Zenith expert either…

This photo in the op shows the case has a complimentary curve that aligns with the curve of the end link.

I wonder if the OP’s endlinks became pinched/bent tighter, which makes their angle too sharp to pair with the case. I wonder if they just need to be opened up a bit.

Yes the ZKM ends definitely have a slight curve to them.

I would suggest measuring the width of the lug opening and the width of the end links to see if it's the watch or end links that are faulty or bent. Should be 20mm. It's hard to tell from the picture but the lugs don't look straight to me.

the width of the lug opening and the width of the end links are equal, both around 19.2 mm..

i think i got the answer. not sure if u buy from the same guy.

actually i realize this ZKM end link is not original. see from the backside , the edge is too round, and ZKM 3 letter is so aligned.

if u compare with original ZKM end link, u will see the M more or less misaligned with ZK. coz the worker use press machine to press the letters on the metal, and for the mold they use, ZK is together, M is separate.

i also looking for original ZKM endlink now, and found this kind of "scam" item on ebay. someone in the comment says, the seller send him another pair, because the previous one lost during mail. vintage parts so hard to find, how can that be possible?

It’s hard to find these original ZK and ZKM endlinks. Like everything, email the vendor, ask them to send you additional photos, and reputable sites like Ebay will refund your purchase if it’s not what the seller represented…keep searching. It’s worth it.
