Zenith 146HP "military" chronograph

There's one nice chronograph for sale.
Black PVD.
Price is pretty ok, comparing to other Zenith's chronos.

It has 146HP Martel movement, but it's signed Movado. I've searched the web and found out that in this chronograph Zenith has used that movement. Interesting.
At first I thought seller has put Movado movement inside.

Any more info about this watch?
I don't even know the reference number (don't have my Zenith book at the moment).

This is a known Zenith model. I believe it appears in Rössler. Relatively unloved, for some reason. I don't believe there is any established military connection.

Yeah, it is in the Book.
I think one reason of unlove is that subdials lack depth. At least for me. But the movement is great, this one even comes with warranty.
Although it's signed Movado.
Big deal or no...

I believe this is one of the models from the Zenith-Movado era that frequently had a movement signed Movado. I think there was also an identical reference signed Movado on the dial. The movement is probably original to the watch, in my opinion.

Another good example for sale.
It's interesting that most of these models come to sale in almost new condition. What's up with that?
This one has different hands and I wonder if they are original to this model.
And interestingly the case cover does not contain any Zenith's model numbers or anything at all.

The PVD case is, IMO, the reason of this scarce interest about it.
