I wasn't going to open this one up (I usually muck it up), but I wanted to confirm the serial number on the movement matched the case, and curiosity got the better of me.
I was a little surprised there's no tabs to hold the movement in place (e.g. my 7750 Heuer), but I guess the anti-magnetic dustcover does the trick. Looks like a nice large balance wheel, too.
    The numbers match , and...what a beauty!

Pardon my grammar (is there a way to edit the text?)..."there are no tabs..."

Must be a Chinese clone, serial is to short! :)
Joking aside, the movement is held in by two screws afaik, you can see one above left of the chrono bridge in your photo, the second one would go into the hole at the bottom right (and is missing).

I got a reply on another forum that said the movement was only held in place by the crown?

Yes, that poster is completely correct. There are case screws, but they don't fasten the movement to the case - they fasten the movement to the enlargement ring (movement spacer). With the case back removed, indeed the only thing holding the movement in place is the crown and stem - sometimes the enlargement ring will have a snug fit in the case, but this is the exception rather than the rule in my experience. If you remove the crown and stem and turn the watch over, the movement will usually drop out.

If you flip it over as it sits in your photo, the chance that one side of the movement will drop down is high, and there is risk of edge damage to the dial, so his warning is valid.

When the watch is fully closed up, the inner antimagnetic cover clips onto the enlargement ring, and the case back presses on that cover when screwed down fully, holding everything in place.

    Cheers, Al
