Hello fellas, I hope you are doing well. I have been on the hunt for a constellation that doesnt cost a fortune and I found this one for 595€. What do you think? It's worth it to buy quartz on this model or I can find a mechanical one with a bit more investment. Thank you!!

PD. Also, thinking in potential servicing, I assume that quartz is less of a problem long-term, right?

It's a nice looker.

I just have significant bias to mechanical movements. But that's just me.
I have no idea about servicing quartz or if parts are hard to come by.

I would think a mechanical would be a better investment piece.

I've been on the hunt for a Jumbo constellation, but the price has kept me out, so far.

Quartz movements are actually much more problematic as they age, they still need to be maintained, but many of the parts aren't as available.

That said, 600 EUD for a quartz watch is a BIG overspend IMO. For not much more you can find some REALLY nice watches. Keep an eye on our private sales forum here, you can find some great options.

I'm not sure as I don't follow this model, but it looks like a redial to me. I really don’t like the "Constellation" or the placement of Swiss Made above the minute track.

Also the price is way too high. You can find a lot of very decent attractive mechanical Seamaster's and Geneve's for that money with a bit of effort.

I picked this up recently for €400 and it is looking great and running well. It will eventually after servicing be going to my son when he hits 21 as a great starter watch. Clean, crisp with a screw back case....to protect against beer/cocktail spillage
