At least that's the saying when you put a mark on your brand new watch. Could be a scratch, could be a ding, either way, the honeymoon, "new-car" moment has officially gone the way of the dodo bird. Mine was today. Maybe it happened when my 1125/617 was put on. I honestly don't remember hitting my ol Wally against anything. But the little ding midway up on the inside of the right upper lug is undeniably there. Pretty minor, actually; if I angle my watch just right, I can make it disappear. Wish it was the other way around, where I have to struggle to see it. Haha! I'm somewhere between relief that it's finally happened and wanting to pull my hair out. So what's yours?
I've scratched the big bezel of my CFTVDS in the eight months I've had it; minor stuff you really can't see unless you're looking for it, and nothing like the chewed-up examples I've seen elsewhere. I'm okay with it and it's worth the happiness it has brought me. July 2016: Two weeks ago:
A friend's daughter, a new driver, smacked right into a guy's Cadillac while he was driving it home from the showroom. Feel better?
When I got my Sinn 903 it was sold with a stuck bezel. Tried the old floss trick and instantly increased the watch value when I fixed it. For my others it's normally once I nail the perfect strap for it.
