Your favourite Mission patch Speedy?

I was doing some Speedy window shopping last night since my list of 'must haves' keeps on growing, and then I started thinking about which mission patch Speedy I love the most. The photo (pilfered from @Robert-Jan superb Fratellowatches) says it all really and while this might be the obvious choice, I reckon it's the best by far.

What does everyone else love? And do we have any members with that fantastic 'Missions' set that was released back in 1997?

This is a great question. I absolutely love the Speedmaster Mission collection. Of the 14 pieces these two are my favorite.

Apollo 8...The first guys around the moon on Christmas Eve 1968.

Apollo 15...Most memorable because it was Dave Scott that made the first lunar Stand-Up EVA from the top of the LEM.

The Gemini VII with its very blue backround and yellow flame colour Patch - a great missions patch, not that popular, but my favourite!

Beautiful watch. GT-7 was a great mission. First time two spacecraft rendezvous and begin stationkeeping.

I'm going to say something quite different, Skylab 1/2/3, the Skylab 3 is my favourite patch but 1 is my favourite mission just because Conrad and his team really did save the station, the series "When we left earth" goes into a lot of detail about how much science was done aboard Skylab and how it really formed our understanding of living in space leading into the shuttle and ISS era.

Starts 36 minutes into the video

Very, very cool @hansmaulwurf - if this is your own personal watch, could you share a picture of the caseback also (if different)?

This "mission patch" gig is pretty cool.

I'm new to Speedmaster as well as to Omega...as well to this forum. So let me see if I have this straight...you can purchase "mission patch" discs and have them installed on the dial?

Is there a Mission IV? Can't seem to find any reference to one.

I don't think there was a GT-4 watch in the Missions collection. Gemini 4 has its own limited edition.

I pretty new too, so don't quote me. ::bleh:: the "Missions" were for the most part a 150 piece edition for each of the missions spanning from Gemini 3 to Skylab 3 (Apollo 8 being the exception - can't recall if it was more or less made - and possibly Gemini 4). For each, the mission patch took up the seconds dial. I don't think you can add them to a standard Speedy.

There was also 40 ALL MISSIONS sets released, containing all plus two other Speedys. They're about the cost of a house now!

The Apollo XV Missions was my second choice for my first Speedy, but alas, I went with the 35th Anniversary LE. Does it count if I have the mission patch on the caseback!?Haha :p

If I ever get chosen for a space mission, the patch is going to look exactly like the subseconds dial of a Speedmaster Pro. Just to mess with Omega's marketing team.

Actually 50 missions cases were made !

    40 for Public Sale
5 marked Hors Commerce - 'Not For Sale'
    5 marked Epreuves artiste

The omega say between 100-150 pieces each with exception of the Apollo 13 Patch (999 Pieces)
