If you just wear an Omega to chat at the dinner table it’s a wasted piece of precision and you should just be in the Rolex club.

Let's see'em guys. As Pat Benatar said "hit me with your best shot". (I'm such an 80's nerd sometimes 😟 )

I'll throw out a few to start.

This was shot free hand - no tripod with the watch on my wrist. The light in my bay window is pretty good for catching the mother of pearl dial. I'm waiting to use this in a Breitling masthead contest.

This shot has just the right amount of reflection. It could be better - I could have gotten a better angle so the date shows in the cyclops evenly - but it shows off the dial furniture nicely.

Gotta include this since it won a Longines masthead contest.

This last one is not mine - it's by Chaotic Bliss, a multi-forum member who hardly drops in anywhere any more. Pity too, because this is a great shot.

Been trying out some new lighting techniques and happy with the shots of my Snowbirds Navitimer. Now to get rid of the reflections. 😀

Really love seeing the macro shots on here, great work guys.

So, it took me several hours to take/make this photo. A lot of time went into finding the right angle. I am using mangrove driftwood here. Lot of experimenting with light angle and distance from the subject. Reflectors to light the case. The final photo is actually made of 200 photos. I used focus stacking technique. I took 3x70 shots. Of scene, case, dial. Why focus stacking... because I didn't have clean background, so I had to use wider aperture to have some blurriness. And because I experimented with multiple angles, I took ca 1000 shots to get to the shot I really liked. After I had edited all those shots. After I had them stitched in Helicoid Focus. Then picked the best shot. Fuji X-H2 + 80mm macro lens. So... sometimes you make a shot for 1 day.
