I can finally participate in this thread haha. Bought a small lightbox and it arrived today. Here is my first go at using it. Not bad for a cell phone pic

Not too bad for a beginner 馃槈.
You just need to hide the big blob of putty behind the watch.
Could also reduce that reflection on the crystal with some strategically placed shadowing on the box.

Haha! It鈥檚 actually my Omega loupe and Benchmade knife. I was using two of the provided 12x12 black squares to help with shadowing and a scrim to diffuse the top light to try to defeat that glare but I鈥檒l keep playing around 馃憤馃榾

This one is a great bang-for-buck Valjoux 23 chronograph from ca 1970. Unknown brand.

I'll throw out a few to start.

This was shot free hand - no tripod with the watch on my wrist. The light in my bay window is pretty good for catching the mother of pearl dial. I'm waiting to use this in a Breitling masthead contest.

This shot has just the right amount of reflection. It could be better - I could have gotten a better angle so the date shows in the cyclops evenly - but it shows off the dial furniture nicely.

This last one is not mine - it's by Chaotic Bliss, a multi-forum member who hardly drops in anywhere any more. Pity too, because this is a great shot.
