No pictures do this watch justice IMO....it just has so many looks in different lighting and gives it an amazing presence on the wrist. Thanks tpatta and repoman for making this happen, these gentlemen = all class.

This watch is incredible. I recently added one to my collection too, and I've been obsessed with staring at it.

Yup. That's the Apollo/Soyuz 35th Anniversary. Meteorite dial.

 

There was a large meteor that split up and crashed in Africa thousands of years ago. It has 2 interesting properties not found in most iron ore. 1 st it has a large and interesting metal crystal pattern to it(not uncommon) 2nd and more importantly its alloyed in a way that it will not rust. A few watch makers have purchased large pieces of this meteor and have made watch dials from it. In person they are stunning looking. The Rolex Daytona with the Meteor dial is one of the better looking ones and flys a bit under the radar. Not cheap though.

 

What a great pickup! This one is the top of my "lust-list" for when I grow up and get a real job...
