I bought this one many years ago and found it on the breakfast table this morning. Still running after ten years. I worked yesterday evening. She obviously wore this one during the day / evening. I had not seen it in quite a while. It is part of her rotation. I forgot how nice the dial is.

The wife has been borrowing the 1985 Submariner more and more lately.

Looks like it’s hers now. That strap is a nice touch.

My partner has two in her rotation - the MoonSwatch (Jupiter) and a vintage Cartier Tank.

Here she is rocking the MoonSwatch while we toured an old prison turned museum:

And here is her tank (on my wrist for the photo):

I lost my Airking last year

I’m not getting that back.
Hahahaha 👍
Probably a perfect size.
My missus wears her Tag Heuer 2000 that used to be mine, whenever we go out walking.
If I don't start wearing my Airking soon i can see that getting transferred too.

34mm, is indeed the perfect size. She has a nice collection of vintage lady Seamasters and the like, but she prefers larger watches for casual wear.
I wonder how much of the demand for vintage 34mm Rolexes are women. I think the idea that women want shiny and new (and small) is very outdated- I know many women who love the idea of a watch with history and men’s watches in the 32-36mm are a perfect fit on a 5-7” wrist as we all know.

Most of my wife's older watches are tiny and with the passage of time and deteriorating eyesight, not much use.
Her recent ones have been 28' 29, 30 and 2 @ 34mm
Those tiny ones she used to have really look dated these days.
Only one of her watches has diamonds, the rest aren't that shiny👍

My wife’s former job as a baker required
a rugged, lightweight, waterproof (scrub in the sink) highly visible watch with a date feature that she didn’t have to wind or set- could leave it on Friday and pick it back up Monday morning and run out the door.
I got her a Marathon Navigator and it was the perfect watch for her.

Whereas I rotate a dozen watches, she wears just one. But she has exquisite taste.

Her Tag is popular for just those reasons ie she doesn't have to give it to me to reset.
And it survived getting submerged in mud in August so proved it's durability.

Mine refuses to wear any watch that costs more then 50 Eur, so this is what I have assembled so far, that she likes and meets the criteria.
Coincidentally, one Swiss, one German and one Russian watch.

My wife pulled this out tonight to go to her book club. This is definitely her high-end watch.

You don’t need to read it, they dim the lights when it’s time to go back to your seat.
