I should probably also be thankful of the fact that I am unmarried, because, otherwise, there might be some amount of 'control' (or, at least, the appearance of) of the SIZE of the Collection... or NOT!
It baffles me that I've been able to buy valuable gold and SS loot from persons I've never actually met! But this forum over time allows that.... and I'm very grateful for the friendships, but also the LOOT! Hopefully, I will have the opportunities in the future to raise a glass with some of my new buds...😁

Here's my beloved first vintage (left, below) I purchased as a complete newbie (I knew nothing, and I still know almost nothing), along with my latest ('55 JLC Memovox gold cap cal. 814):
I really got lucky with the first purchase above, a '58 ref. 2846-14, cal. 501 I bought from @jinson . Still a favorite even after 363 days...🥰
I bought it because I thought it was gorgeous, and it was my birth year, but since then, I've bought 'birth year' watches that were merely by accident 😲!
