I saw this the other day and As a robotics engineering student, this is f***ing cool. But yes, we are taught to make robots for the sole purpose of killing.... Ive said too much
Our robots will kill all of their robots, and then it's back to bayonets and blood. Or clubs and sticks.
What a dreadful, thing! I will redress the balance with a picture of my handsome Japanese lad. Nature makes these things soft and beautiful.
There is the video of this “dog” and a “dog” from a competing company sniffing and playing with each other. Despite efforts to assure that a ) they are not fully realized AI and b) they are just tools...I’m still creeped out ...and impressed at the same time.
I saw that title and figured it would be a thread about those Boston Dynamics robots that have learned parkour. Close enough! I for one welcome our new robot overlords.
Written and directed by Michael Crichton??? Surprised I've never heard of it. Guessing it's not very good, and that the end has some deus ex machina resolution.
I can't dance to save my life, so would often say i'm doing 'The Robot' and make my awkward gesticulations.....guess I have no excuses anymore, damn robo-pup can really boogie!
This post reminded me of this movie, which I watched last week. Kinda creepy, and while the robot was not made for killing, somebody was killed in the movie.
