Hello everyone,

So I have the original DON bezel that came with my 145.012. Given that there’s no lume on the dial and it has service hands making the watch have less of a vintage look, do you think I should put back the DON or leave it as is. Here are some pics.

THat dial is quite white. I'd consider getting the markers relumed and the hands aged, then re-fitting the bezel.

 

Nay! I prefer the more cohesive look with the new bezel

 

New bezel. Keep the old one but it looks like a train wreck. Does not match the rest of the watch. Not wabi or sabi.

Depends on what your plan will be with the watch. I personally don't mind having the dial relumed and hands aged to get the vintage look. Then you can put the DON back on and enjoy wearing it for years. At the end of the day, what matters most is if it is the watch that you will enjoy wearing.

 

Yeah I'm with new bezel in this one

 

New bezel, sell the DON and buy two watches w/the proceeds

 

Sell the Bezel and get a nice vintage Mark II to add to the collection

 

...nyay...

 

Personally I think the newer bezel suits the watch more with the lightness of the lume , nice to have a "meteor" DON though for the future .
