I plan to post a WTB thread when I can. I have found photos of watches I want to use to make my wishes clear: eBay, Pinterest etc. But using these in a WTB thread violates OF rules: Photos should be of the actual watch in your possession only - and: "What is not tolerated at all! Using other peoples photos in ANY advert is strictly prohibited & will mean the advert being pulled and your selling privileges revoked and a possible ban." - but I haven't got the watch yet! Would it be acceptable to use photos edited so the only showed part of the original picture? Any advice appreciated.
Sounds like that's for selling. How could you use pictures of something you don't own, to buy something you don't own?
I'm not sure that the "totally fricking ugly, lopsided, crayola coloured, blurry, wristwatch" actually exists in the dimension.
A picture must be drawn, indeed. It also must be hand drawn by you, if it is drawn by a third party we will have to remove it.
Only pictures from the first 2 parties you host to do this. Pictures from the third are not allowed. You may resume again on the 4th. Although if the members are the same in party 1,4,5 you may not use parties from the 5th as that is the same third party. The 6th party is technically the 2nd third party though and also not allowed for technical reasons. This extends to every multiple of 3. Of course exceptions can be made, but the 9th party is of course never allowed with no exceptions as it’s the third third party.
This is all we ask. And that you draw well, if it sucks we will call you out on it and then your ad will be removed. I'm not saying it needs to be Picasso quality but at the least better than something an 8th grade art student would produce.
