I cant seem to find any good examples on-line for sale right now. Hence the post

Spotted the one Omega forums member Hijak has posted about recently and its perfect. Wow, such an elegant, clean looking watch.

It's exactly the watch i've decided on. Seen quite a few nice black dialed examples but they don't really do it for me.

Any help/pointers/watches! appreciated.

A UK seller would be best i guess? but i'm open minded for the right watch, paypal would also suit.

many thanks
peter

Hi Peter and welcome to the forum!馃榾 You're talking about a cal. 611, this watch?

This is dated to 1964, with case reference # 136.011

Hi, many thanks only been here a few days but from what i've seen its a great resource.

Yes that's the watch i've set my sights on. I saw it in another thread of yours: http://omegaforums.net/threads/the-ups-man-came-a-knokin-with-some-new-arrivals.6160/ great shots btw.

Do you know the difference between cal 601 and the 611? 611 is the date variant but not sure where the 601 fits in. Also spotted this trawling the web and thought i could easily see myself wearing that watch as well!

Seamaster cal 601 1965 Case Ref. 135.011 (not sure if this is a redial, im too new to this)
Its easy to see how people start collecting Omegas.

If that's a cal. 601 then the date is a difference, but I'm not familiar enough with the different movements to tell you all the differences. I've never seen a dial like that but again I'm not an expert. The watch case and fonts on the dial look good to me but wait for others more experienced, they should be along to comment.
