Hi everyone. First of all, I would like to express my gratitude to the all members of this fantastic forum for the incredible job you are doing when it comes to share experiences, knowledge, information, assessment and opinion about this particular kind of watches. I have just come across an Omega Seamaster 600 cal.611 (Rf. number: 136.012), but before deciding to purchase it I'd like to share several pictures in this forum in order to get crucial feedback regarding its authenticity. The seller recently sent me several pictures of the aforementioned watch (sorry for the quality of the pictures). The inner mecanism seems legit, as well as the backcase. The dial is really worn and in a poor condition (Omega). The caliber 611 matches with the reference number (136.012), and the serial number seems fairly right. After doing a thorough research, it appears to me that it might be a legit Omega Seamaster 600 (crown and stripe might be replaced by the previous owner), but I still got reasonable doubts when it comes to confirm that assessment considering several aspects of the watch (basically, the dial). On the other hand, another element to take into consideration is the fact that those Omega Semaster 600 with the 611 caliber usually come with a different dial in comparison with the dial shown here...so I am not certain true whether or not is a real Omega Seamaster 600. Thank you so much in advance. Any help or suggestion would be appreciated. Kind regards. It looks like the dial was stripped down to the metal. If you're buying, I would look elsewhere.

Thanks for your reply. Definitely, the dial does not convince me either.

136.012 is very small, under 33 mm.
For me it is a cheap watch to scrap for parts :) The dial is to far gone.

Thank you so much indeed. Is it even worth it for that purpose?

Well, that 100% depends on the price :)

Thank you so much. Gotta talk with him. Mecanism seems legit to me.

It's a Genève, not a Seamaster (they shared the same cases though).

It's also a dog and would have to be very very cheap or it could be a money pit.

Do you want it for the movement or to wear?

To be honest, the main purpose was to wear it. In such circumstances, I'll look elsewhere...However, I do not discard to buy it for the movement as long as the price is right.
