There is also a common misconception going around with these, stating that the J is better than the K which is false. The only difference is the shipping route and obviously, dial text. I see yours sports the "customary" misaligned chapter ring just like mine does. Is there anybody on this forum with a SKX with a proper chapter ring?

Here's mine, fresh from a swim -- old, trusty, and my first diver, bought when buying an SK seemed a bit of a stretch. Still a great watch and keeps good time after a ton of punishment over the years, clicky bezel and all.

I get more compliments on my Seiko Flightmaster, then I ever do wearing the sub, or PO. Way back when we could go eat out, I was at the bar and literally talked to the guy next to me for a good hour about watches, just because of my Seiko.

^ good for you

Just curious. Are all seiko flightmasters in quartz? Or are there mechanical versions?

I have a 007K model made in May 2010 with good alignment - when I heard they were going to be discontinued I picked up another as a backup - that one has bad alignment and also the bezel action is nowhere near as nice.....also a K.

That's nice to hear. Mine had bad bezel action as well but I ended up replacing the click spring and the bezel gasket and now it's great.

That's good info - I may look into having that done in the future! cheers!

Are custom allowed in this section? 😀
It’s a pretty decent chunk of the Seiko diver community so I’d say so

Lovely Chrono... I only hope that it will not go the route of the SZSB006, those sold out in less than 24 hours and turned up later at huge markups...
I also thought that straight away.
And of course: Now at Chrono24.com for 999$.

I was lucky enough to snag one at 10% off retail at release... a really cool little watch, but definitely not worth 4x the MSRP.
