Yep, very similar indeed!
Saw it but thanks anyway 👍 personally I prefer the panda style over reverse panda.
That being said, zero chance of getting a SZSJ005 anyway!

Hi all, hope you’re keeping safe and healthy in these turbulent times.

I’m trying to track down the below watch...

More pics here but no details and clearly an old advert

https://sg.carousell.com/p/rare-seiko-reverse-panda-quartz-chronograph-201417506/

Any help anyone may have is greatly appreciated!

Edit to add this which I think is the same/similar model

cheers,

James

No bites.

Perhaps I’d be better off enquiring on a dedicated seiko forum? Any recommendations on which may be best to help?

I really love the look and size of the alpanist. I’ve made some offers and bid on a couple but I am having 0 luck this far. Did they stop making the first model alpanist l? I see the prices climbing up on them

I would suppose that with launch of prospex alpinists, the sarb017 already stopped production.

Isn't there an older Swiss watch brand named Alpinist?
I also love the look and features of the Seiko Alpinist.
The inner bezel and beautiful colors of the dials are great draws.
I remember learning to use a watch as a compass when in the scouts but had long forgotten exactly how.
it occurred to me that a mountain with significant deposits of magnetic iron ore could throw a regular compass needle way off.
I once took a ride on a narrow gauge railway around "Iron Mountain" in Tennessee. My Timex electric wristwatch seized up and never ran again.

A friend of mine picked one of these up. The dial is way cool. Seiko must have a busy factory they seem to put out a new watch every week. I found the light honeycomb look on the dial to be very interesting. It also has a snowflake texture to it. I believe it’s limited to 6,000 pieces. I think with a dial like that I’d like it better without the open heart.

This maybe just me. But i think better watch without “Presage” on dial.

I see what your saying. I guess they want to make sure it’s on there as presage is quite hot at the moment. So I don’t like the open heart you don’t like the lettering I guess we should be happy that it’s a seiko without the day date.

Okay, now what about this one :-D (just came in from outside)
That’s very interesting. Looks hefty is it a 44mm?

With the arrival yesterday of my 6105-8119, I noticed today that my vintage divers all have 150M resist dials... not done consciously, but kind of a fun unintentional result.

Super nice line up you have here, mimics my own wishlist! 😀

Those 6105 and 6306 are super clean!

Thanks for the share,
Lou
