ok cool is it something worth tackling you think? I need to look at this bezel better he mentioned green but to my eye it looks black but I didn’t study it that closely. I don’t know if it’s a wise thing to change up these 007
They are very commonly modded. The range of parts available is very broad. In fact long Island Watches, one of the larger us sellers of Seiko offers a very large in house customization program.

They where common and made for a very long time. So no one cares about missing them. Even now after production is over they are not yet frowned upon for being modded. I won’t lie I have a NIB one from one of the last months of production in storage. But I’m not taking care of my older 009 either and use it as my knock around watch.

Back from service! I had the crown seal redone and it’s running within chronometer specs. 👍

Pongster, you always have the most lovely watches. I am a sucker for a fine looking Grand Seiko.

Ty sir. You tugged at my heartstrings. 😀

My very first Seiko (Grand or otherwise).

A new arrival yesterday... a True Pogue from Feb ‘71. The crystal is pretty rough, but under it lies a sweet dial and inner bezel. My favourite detail, is the way the red on the bezel has faded... 🥰
